Transit and bike share

How do I put my bicycle on the Red Rose Transit Authority (RRTA) bus? Check out RRTA’s website for a tutorial.

Visit Red Rose Transit Authority (RRTA)’s website (RedRoseTransit.com) for fare information, bus schedules, detour and service alerts, and more. If you’re taking the bus, plan to arrive at your stop 10 minutes early. We recommend downloading the RRTA Go Mobile app to purchase bus fare and the Bus Finder MyStop app to track the real-time status of the bus. Note that RRTA bus schedules vary from weekday to the weekend. Double-check schedules on the RRTA app and on the website for the best experience.

If you have comments or concerns about RRTA bus service, please submit feedback through the RRTA Go Mobile app.

How does BikeIt! Lancaster work? Check out Lancaster City’s bike share website to learn how to get started! It’s affordable and convenient for visitors and residents alike.

Bike routes

If you take your bike on an RRTA bus from Lancaster City out to a destination in the county, you may be interested in riding your bike back into the city. Enjoy these routes designed by a friend of the Global Shapers Lancaster Hub, Emily Wilson. We recommend downloading the RideWithGPS app to view and follow the route, but you can also print off or write down turn-by-turn cues, too!

For additional bicycle route inspiration, check out Lancaster Bicycle Club’s route library!
