The purpose of this bumper sticker design contest is to create public awareness around either the need for car drivers to be more aware of bikers and walkers and/or for car drivers to express general support for biking, walking, and public transit as an alternative form of transportation. Since the bumper stickers will most likely be displayed on cars but are advocating for driving cars less, there is the opportunity for phrases like “I’d rather be biking” or “I love someone that bikes” to show support for active transportation.

Design Parameters

Design must communicate support for walking, biking, and public transportation in Lancaster County – keep it local!

Design should incorporate words, phrases, and images that express support for walking, bicycling, Micromobility, and transit as forms of transportation 

Design should align with a typical bumper sticker size; there will be the opportunity for the winning design to modify layout as needed to adhere to this size

Deadline

The contest will open on January 25 and will close on March 1st, 2025

Prize Info

The winner will receive $100 cash in prize funds in some form and their design will then be turned into bumper stickers to be handed out at Ride, Roll, and Stroll events; there is the potential to have the bumper stickers be handed out at bike shops, etc if the budget allows.
